I'm sure I've done this one before...
25 years ago. 1980. I wasn’t born then, neither was my brother.
20 years ago. 1985. I was 2. I lived in Beddau, and I remember very little. From what I’m told (and have seen in pictures) I was a rather chubby little girl! My grandfather was already dead.
15 years ago. 1990. I was 7. I’d been in Pembrokeshire for a year. I became friends with Christine, who although we never see each other at all, I still consider to be a good friend. I began playing the violin. I did ballroom dancing. I had short hair.
10 years ago. 1995. I was 12. Daisy (my Siamese/Burmese mongrel kitten) died in the Spring. I went on holiday to the Burgundy region of France, where there were rats and mice in the house, but red kites and buzzards that flew overhead every evening. I was mad about grand prix, I no longer played my violin.
5 years ago. 2000. I was 17. My grandfather died. I saw Wales play South Africa (and lose) in the Millenium Stadium, with my father and then-boyfriend Gareth.
3 years ago. 2002. I was 19. A year into university. I was living in Fulford with Beaver and a house full of strange geeky men. Life was fun. I was mad about LRP. I had stopped playing the piano by now.
1 year ago. 2004. I was 21. I had finished my degree. I had no idea where I was heading next. I had the best 21st birthday party ever. I moved in with Beaver.
this year. 2005. I’m 22. I’m engaged, I have a terrible job, but the rest of life almost makes up for it. I’m still mad about LRP, and have started playing the piano again. And I’ve redeveloped my interest in Formula 1.
Yesterday. I slept in, and spent the afternoon watching sport on the telly. Tennis and a Grand Prix. I made LRP banners. I covered myself in paint. And I went to bed early.
Today. I went to work. I did a bit of washing up. I watched Shakespeare in Love.
Tomorrow. I shall go to work. And spend the evening tidying up and sorting out kit for the weekend. I shall have 2 job interviews.
