bah well havent heard from capital bank yet (even though the agency said they normally phone by end of the same day as the interview) the interview was thursday.. am not hopeful.

but have another interview tomorrow morning, this time at the less ugly time of 10am, for Marks & Spencer Money on the Business Park just down the road. call centre again, but i think this one is less stressfull, as its just activating people's chip and pin for them.

will have to see how it goes tomorrow

i'm very tired now, i think its all the not having anything to do

have been playing the Sims a lot, have all the expansions for the original game now, so there more stuff to play with. it getting a bit complicated. and it ate half my sims the last time i reinstalled. ah well not the end of the world i suppose

That game is hideously addictive... luckily I don't have it installed on any PC anymore, nor do I know where the game disks are. =)

what gets me is the complete and utter pointless ness of the sims

you cant just "win"

it just goes on and on and on...

Lol yes that's also very true. I think I got one of my sims up to rank 8 on the job career scale, but after that it just wouldn't go any further. And they were quite happy and such. But yeah - there's no point to any of it. Once you have a happy family, what then? Another and another? And even then the point isn't necessarily to get them the best jobs if you don't want them to, because they'd have to put in more hours, etc. etc.

Lol. rant over - totally pointless, yes.

I had to stop playing it cos it messed with my world-view. I started viewing everything in terms of which "need" I was fulfilling. I started imagining this little "socialising" bar filling up over my head when I was with friends.

It freaked me out.

BTW, to avoid losing Sims when reinstalling you can back up your saved games. There is a folder called "user Data" or something similar in the application folder. Make a copy of that in another location and then you'll always be able to restore them, simply by copying it back..!
