Mar. 12th, 2005 10:29 pmwow. Beav decided last week that he was going to have a new character to go to Maelstrom with. So we've had to hurriedly decide on everything, from names to skills to backgrounds to costume.
Managed to find him a new shirt in town, which was handy, but we decided since his trousers were black and his shirt is black he needed some colour
so we bought some material, and now we have a waistcoat.
I began planning the waistcoat at about 8pm this evening. found a pattern on the internet, measured Beav, cut out my pattern and started cutting material. It is now 10.30. 2 and a half hours later (which included two extended breaks to play table tennis on the net) and I have finished it (well apart from buttons and the possible addition of a pocket). True its not the greatest tailoring the world has ever seen, but its a waistcoat and its cool by our standards.
I am all proud of myself. I even managed to do all the sewing of it in less than the runnign time of Beauty and the Beast.
