supertinksi'm watching channel 4. have just watched Desperate Housewives (which is fabulous) and left the telly on after. we're now watching Anatomy for Beginners. I've seen trailers for it but still wasnt sure what to expect.
There appears to be a crazy German man who wears a blue surgical gown and a weird hat, who speaks in a really odd voice, who cuts open real dead bodies so we can see whats inside. A sensible British science guy in a white coat who explains everything in language normal people understand, and gratuitous nudity in the form of a perfect blonde, blue eyed, Aryan gentleman who stands around in teh buff and has organs projected onto his body.
i'm very disturbed. I never did much Human Anatomy type biology at uni, what with doing an ecology degree and all. This is more the realm of the medical student. i've now got the creeps about who these dead people are, and why they ever agreed to let people preserve their bodies and cut them open for national telly. what do their families think?
for some reason i am completely happy looking at diagrams of anatomy, hell i read all about bloody battles etc in books, but watching this guy cut open a dead body and treat it so.. well.. as if its a thing, not a person, its not good
