Got a christmas card in the post from Beav's Nan today. The envelope is addressed to "Mr and Mrs G Jackson". Jumping the gun a bit (considering, as far as I'm aware, his family dont know we're engaged yet), but it made me smile a lot and feel all warm inside. I think I'm going to frame it.

In other news, work is hell at the moment, Xmas music piped in through the ceiling, so many customers, excessive work load, lots of going up and down the stairs etc. Lots of pressure to sell. Today was supposed to be my day off, but now I had to swop my day off to be able to go to the funeral on Thursday, so i had to work today. So I'm very tired.

Got 4 new boxes of D&D abberations miniatures, mostly repeats of little ones we already have, but we got one of the really cool ones we wanted which was cool.

Well I gotta package up my Xmas presents to post around the world.

Yoiks, if she doesn't know, was she doing that whole 'young people are living together and NOT MARRIED! I might die of the outrage and scandal! I shall give them a hint!' thing? If so, she'll be happy when she hears the news! Although the next thing you'll get is 'so, when will I be a great-grandma'? :-)

That was incredibly presumptious of her though, surely? If your engagement has not been announced (and besides which, engaged is not married!) then it's a bloody good thing you're considering getting married cos that's the sort of thing that could cause lots of men to run a mile! :-)

I guess it depends whether Beave's Nan actually *does* know or not. If she does know, she's being nice and it's all cool. If she doesn't know, surely she's being horrible and interfering, and the fact that it's true is just a lucky coincidence? Actually, she *must* know surely, it's been a fair old while since it happens, and this kind of thing is never kept a secret for very long, no matter how hard you try :-)

Oh...I'd get that posting done asap cos the last posting dates were a few days ago. I managed to miss Japan's one by 2 days too. They've got a list of what needs to go where and when online at ftp://ftp.royalmail.com/Downloads/public/ctf/rm/Xmas_v2.pdf . You should still be ok for sending to Western Europe.

BTW, can you send me your address? I have cardy things :-)
