Christmas came early

Well, for Mr Fidget anyway. I ordered him a cat bed from Albany Pet Stores on ebay (where we got his scratching tower from). It arrived today. Jamie decided that he should be allowed to have it straight away, rather than have to wait another week.

Its purpose is mainly to give to him something comfy to sleep in that isnt a jumper or somebody's lap or a shirt thats been left on the dining table! He likes to sit on the table so he can see out of the window to keep an eye on his territory, so we're going to keep the bed on there and move it occasionally. I'm sure once he's used to it he'll sleep on it quite happily wherever it is.

(Aren't cats supposed to ignore cat beds, play in the packaging then widdle in the bed when your back's turned?)

i was expecting him to ignore it completely. But no, he jumped into it straight away, and slept in it all evening. then, although he came upstairs with us and I fell asleep with him all snuggled up against me, he was gone in the morning and when I came downstairs I found him sleeping in the bed again. He got up for breakfast, but as soon as he'd eaten - straight back in the bed! I opened the window (he normally is desperate to go outside in the mornings) but he just stayed there. obviously too comfy!

He looks very comfy, what is it about cats that they could lie on a spike and still look blissfully happy.
