Did you miss me?

Its hardly surprising I haven't, given that my week has been mostly filled with dull, boring, everyday things. Things like a full week in work (very long and tiring), and not doing much in the evenings when I ought to be studying. At least I made it to the pool twice this week, if not to the gym. And I did some pilates yesterday lunchtime. So its not all a complete waste of time :-)

Last night I created a much more sensible study/revision timetable for myself. I was reminded of that bit in Red Dwarf, when Rimmer is revising for his officers exam, and the description in the book of him making and re-making those wonderful colour-coded revision plans, and running out of time to actually do any revision. Hopefully I won't be so bad, and I wont be there the night before the exam drawing formulae all over my arms and legs with a marker pen. As long as I don't answer all of my questions with "I am a fish!" I should be ok.

This weekend has been a good one, filled with laziness and fun and decent rugby. And cuddles. lots of cuddles. Mr Fidget has become the most pathetic cat the world has ever seen. As soon as we sit down in the living room, he's there. Mere seconds, from floor to lap to sleep. When he's really sleepy, you can pick him up and put him on your chest, and he curls up resting his head on your face (see pics on Facebook). He gets a bit grumpy when you have to move him to get up, and has spent a lot of the weekend just bouncing between my lap and Jamie's. Very pathetic.

There was rugby, and it was good. The last ever game at Stradey Park was on Friday, and we kicked Bristol's ass 27 - 0  which was awesome, just a huge shame we didnt get the bonus point try, and that Mark Jones didnt make it onto the scoresheet. Jamie's team played yesterday, and comfortably beat Worcester, although in traditional Ospreys fashion the scoreline was very high, but there are very few memorable moments from the game! Nice to see Henson back out on the park playing well though. Bodes well for the internationals coming up next month.

Next weekend is the last round of the pool stages of the Anglo-Welsh cup, and out of the 16 teams in the competition (4 Welsh, 12 English) its looking like 3 of the pools are going to be won by Welsh teams! Only the Dragons have failed, but they had both Gloucester and Bath in their group so its not surprising. Gloucester looking likely to be the winners of pool A. Both my boys and Jamie's are playing away next weekend, we're up in Northampton (but unfortunately I cannot afford to go to that game) and the Ospreys are playing London Irish here in Reading, so we'll hopefully be going to that (Jamie getting tickets today). It makes me giggle that in a competition where the Welsh sides are horribly outnumbered, they still succeed! Anyway, if all goes according to plan, it may end up with an Ospreys v Scarlets semi final! Unfortunately, this year the semi-finals are in Coventry, not Cardiff, so we may not get to go, as we can't afford hotels and things as well as tickets.

Ho hum, best get back to work I suppose, I'm sure there was more I was going to say, but it can wait.
