Apr. 22nd, 2008 03:55 pmwe had a power cut earlier on. Apparently quite a lot of Reading was affected. Although bizarrly, Jamie's building (next door to mine) was ok! So we had no computers or phones or lights or anything for about an hour.
Which was fun, although it meant I took lunch earlier than usual, and now i'm all bored and want to go home already!
Last night we started watching Life on Mars - we've not seen it before, and Ros lent it to me a while ago. Watched the first two episodes. Its actually surprisingly good. won't have time to watch any more tonight though, as Tuesday is Battlestar Galactica Day.
Ros - can I steal your gingerbread cake recipe? there seems to be a general consensus among my department that ginger is good, and I want to make ginger cake for them :-)
