lol three days without the internet.. so much lj to catch up on. well it wasnt really no internet, but no time for the internet.

so i've been a bit lax in keeping up with people. working a 12 hour day yesterday didnt help, neither has beav, as the only time i've felt like catching up and mailing people etc have been those few precious moments when he is here before bedtime, so he spent the last few days complaining that i was talking to other people and not him..

also my computer has developed a habit of letting me write an email, then crashing totally as i'm about to hit send. oddly enough, it did it twice to the same person, on two different days!

am really looking forward to my day off tomorrow now, 12 hour day followed by another 8 hour day was kinda knackering.

Although, I feel it necessary to shout this from the rooftops... Yesterday in work I sold a £700 diamond solitaire. (See pic)

so i was immensely chuffed. especially since the one i'd brought out was the £500 ring, not the £700 one. but the forever diamond range we stock is absolutely gorgeous. this one is white gold, 1/4 carat diamond. the one i sold was colour grade I as well, which is quite high up on the scale. damn good quality.

Beaver's birthday tomorrow, as well as my day off, so its nice that we get to spend the whole day together too. admittedly, we'll spend time tidying the flat, and he's bound to spend at least several hours playing Neverwinter Nights online with his new online friends... but we'll go out for dinner to that lovely spanish Tapas bar in town, and all will be good. there will be much wine i am sure (although not too much, as i'll be getting up for work on saturday morning!).

have just finished wrapping his present etc. i dont think he's as interested in the fact that its his birthday as other people might be, I know he doesnt like being reminded that he's now 25 (or at least will be 25 tomorrow). For some reason, 25 sounds very old to him. Its not that old to me.
