the ever-lovely
rhubehas well, not exactly chosen my seven as i only have 5, but its her fault anyway.
This has been my default icon for some time. Its fairly self explanatory, being Tinker Bell and all. But I just love her expression, cos it demonstrates her amazing capacity for extreme emotion, which sadly I seem to share. She looks very pissed off. I like it.
This is very badly drawn Japanese kanjii, which (if the website where I got my info from is correct) when read makes sounds equivalent to "Tin kah bell lah" or something. basically its as close to Tinker Bell as I could get on limited time, resources, ability to speak/use Japanese. I made it cos I wanted something to represent "Tinker Bell" without being a cheesy still from Peter Pan, cos I already had one of those. Its an attempt at being vaguely artistic and/or intellectual, both qualities I claim to have but unfortunately often fail to demonstrate!
This is Gareth Thomas (Alfie) celebrating the win against Ireland that brought Wales the Grand Slam in the 2005 Six Nations. Alfie in himself has been an inspiration for Welsh rugby, having won 100 caps and scored something like 37 tries (he's got the most appearances for Wales and the most tries). He's ugly as sin, with most of his teeth missing, and he's not the most well-spoken of individuals, but he's brilliant with an oval ball in his hands! This picture to me symbolises everything that is great about Welsh rugby. Alfie's sheer joy, coupled with Sidoli's weeping below, and the Welsh dragon flowing artfully in the background. It generally accompanies rugby related posts, or any time I want to express particular joy.
This is my Fidget, stalking a feather stick. This was taken not long after we took him in, and he was being particularly cute. I particularly liked the way he was using my bag to hide and sneak up on the feather stick, as if it would make a difference. This one tends to get used when I talk about cats.
This one I made today. Its an ostrich. We had a thing in my office a while back, because there was a long running joke that Shelley was like a meekat, because she's quite nosey about peoples shopping and things, and that Mark was like a chimpanzee. It was then reasoned that if Shelley was a meerkat then Michelle must be a warthog, a la Timon and Pumbaa. Chrissy was a giraffe, on account of her very long legs, arms and enormous height. This was then extended to the rest of the office. Amanda was a fox, John became a donkey because he said he wanted to be a stallion, so we thought we'd take the pish a little. And I became an ostrich, because I don't know, I have long legs and am quite fast, not sure about the huge feathery bottom! So I downloaded some pics of ostriches from the net to brighten up my desktop, and this one was one of them. So today I turned it into an icon, cos I like it. and now its my default icon. so there.
