another cat update

supertinksWell I spoke to the woman the vets have found, it sounds like my cat is the cat she's lost.
However, she took him in as a rescue cat from Thames Valley Welfare, but the cat ran away when they had to get a dog because they kept getting burglers. he'd been missing for about 2 weeks when I spoke to her. he does kinda sound like the cat she was describing, but she wanted to come round and check to make sure.
she has since got two kittens from TVW, so doesnt want the cat back as she doesnt think he'd stay anyway, what with the dog and the kittens and all. which is why she's happy for us to keep him.
she hasnt been around yet, as she did her back in and is unable to get over here (so i found out yesterday, I had almost given up on her!).
so, we've decked the cat out with his very own studded leather collar (it was the least gay one we could find), complete with a little name tag which proclaims to the world that the cat belongs to me!
He's developed the rather cute habit of sleeping on/in (and infact under) our bed with us, which is really cute. He insists on taking up Jamie's side of the bed too, which is fine by me! Although he did fall asleep on my foot last night, which meant I couldnt move for ages.
He's started to put more weight on now, and looks a lot healthier. I bought a brush and groomed him too, and he looked so much better for that too.
I will take pics later, when I find my camera again.

Date: 2006-08-08 08:41 am (UTC)Why are you trying to make him look ungay? (BTW, I disute that studded leather accomplishes this particularly well. Just watch out for him doing YMCA dance routines!) Making boy cats look as gay as possible is one of life's litte pleasures :-)

oh by the way, we still on for Snakes on a Plane in a couple of weeks? you'll need to send me directions to your new house and stuff...
