well, since my last post, both good and bad things have happened to me.
the bad - Wednesday - first day back in work was rubbish. I then went home, chilled out a bit, drove to the station to pick Jamie up after work, went to Tesco, did some shopping, came home, realised we didnt have the front door key and were locked out.
Cue half an hour standing outside trying to get hold of Andy, who was inside the house. He was in the shower, hence the enormously long wait we had. He eventually emerged, just as I was attempting the "climb in the upstairs window" maneouvre, which was very tricky.
Then, I made food by the cunning application of pizza's and ovens. However as I was getting my pizza out of the oven, I managed to horrifically burn my arm. Well, I say horrifically, I found it horrific, on account of past experience with burning myself making me very scared of the whole concept, and actually being burned making my feel very ill indeed. The actual injury itself is a 3cm long, half a cm wide blistered stripe of my arm, just above the wrist. I spent the rest of the evening with a large bag of ice clamped to my arm, generally whimpering and stuff.
It is much better now, it is healing very well, although it does hurt every now and again when I twist my arm too far.
Now the good! I ordered some funky boots from www.funkyboutique.com before I went on holiday, and they arrived this morning! they are now sitting under my desk and I can't wait to try them on. In fact, now I'm on lunch, I may take this opportunity to go put them in my car,and thus be able to try them on properly. If you're lucky, you may even get pictures.

Date: 2006-07-21 01:44 pm (UTC)I also hate the fact that we live in a terrace and the garden fences are really dodgy, otherwise we could have just gone in round the back - I'd left the back door and front room windows wide open cos of the cats.
Burn is actually a lot better today. I am surprised, I thought it would be a lot worse than this. Not that I'm going to use that as an excuse to do it more often, cos that would be stupid.
