Ok, so this weekend was less exciting than last weekend. It didnt involve much travel, for a start.

Friday I returned to the dentist, and had my root canal filled. There is something particularly disturbing about having a drill in your mouth with no anaesthetic. But I survived and it wasnt horrendous. I like my dentist. He's a nice man. and so much better than my previous dentist for not making me scared and explaining stuff. Bizarre that a foreign man is easier to understand than a Brit.

Friday evening Jamie went out to his new job's Xmas do, to meet people and stuff. He came home late and very drunk. I was not a happy Tinks, but we're over it now. His hangover the next day kind of made up for it.

Saturday morning Jamie and I drove to Basingstoke, to pick up the package that had been not-delivered from RL Supplies (my hard drive broke again, so we bought a new one). It was a nice sunny day, which meant Jamie complained incessantly as the sun wasnt helping his headache. We got the parcel no problems, which meant we could finally listen to decent music in the car, since as well as getting a new hard drive, I got one of those things for plugging your mp3 player into your car stereo.

Since we were in Basingstoke, we decided to check out the huge shopping centre there, Festival Place. Its great! much bigger than the Oracle in Reading. But we were very good and didnt buy anything. We had lunch in Nandos though which was very cool.

Then we came home, via the picture framing shop in town (to pick up Jamie's Xmas pressie from me) and Tesco (as we had no food).
Then we watched much Friends (as I now own the One with all Ten Seasons box set), and stuff.

Sunday we cleaned. I cleaned the bathroom and Jamie cleaned the kitchen. Andy took on the oven (and won). It was great. What was a manky, mould filled bathroom is now a glistening temple of cleanliness. I spent half an hour sat on the edge of the bath, holding the shower head in one hand and scrubbing the tiles with a toothbrush. I got a bit wet (but my waterproof boots are indeed waterproof, which is a relief). I cleaned the toilet (properly, unlike how everyone else in the house cleans it), and the floor, and stuff. I even cleaned some of the limescale off the window. And now its all clean.

So with any luck I wont be ill anymore.

Only a couple of days left in work now before Xmas break too which is nice.

I have an excellent foreign dentist, who I've had for years and years. He knows all my problems and is really really good - I don't know what I'll do when he retires. Stop going to dentists, probably... :-)

hehe take it from me, the last thing you want to do is stop going to the dentist - learn from my experience!!!!

Dude, but you don't own every VHS of friends, do ya? That's 59 videos, damnit.
Old skool.

I promise I'll never say that again.

Yeah, to be fair, I want them all on DVD now... but I'll always keep the videos as a badge of honour to being a friends fan for so long ;)

Ah, I think I still have my friends pencil case... it may be in the loft somewhere. I know I still have the ring binder. Also have the London poster still up in my bedroom here in Hastings, and both the "Previously on Friends" and the complete Friends guides. I don't *think* I'm missing anything... Oh no wait - I have the Friends board game, too.

wow. you're far worse than me.

its a great show. but its not that great!

if i drank coffee, i'd have got one of the big cups (that might as well have nipples on them..), but thats as mad as I got about it.

although there was a point when I could recite episodes off by heart.

i had to stop watching it cos i stopped finding it funny. fortunately i'm cured of that now, and watching series i havent watched properly before.
