Apr. 22nd, 2005 08:59 pmwe went to manchester today
it was very pleasant
i wanted to go shopping to get some new tops/shirts for work and some new shoes for work. and going to manchester provides all sorts of opportunities to find clothes for Beaver too, and he always needs new clothes.
However, what we succeeded in doing, is buying absolutely nothing that I wanted to buy, and getting me a new pink skirt, a new vest top for teh summer and a new Muttley t-shirt. oh yeah and some more D&D minis (I've got another dragon yay) and the two newest D&D books to hit the shelves. having a travelling man in Manchester is very handy.
we managed to time it all very well too, as i didnt get up till gone 10am, so we didnt get on a train until 12. we wandered round Afflecks Palace, and bought nothing (!); we had lunch in Wetherspoons, and wandered aimlessly round the Arndale Centre for ages. We came back at about half 4, and managed to be in Chester town centre before the shops closed at half five, so we popped into Lee Louise and I got a new top from there too, bright pink, long sleeves, says "Lazy Cow" on it. very appropriate I'm sure.
Have been lazing around since we got back. only two days of lazing left before I go back to work. ah well
