I only ever cook vegetarian food (okay, piscetarian? Whatever the word for 'eats fish' is...). I haven't cooked meat in two years (this may be where you got the above from - I certainly only cook veggie food, and Matt only cooked veggie food for me).
I eat meat about once every 4-6 weeks, usually as a means of not being awkward, and with the addendums that Tinks mentions (it being happy, free-range meat, me not having to see it in preparation or being carved, and only poultry or fish).
If I could be vegetarian fully without it causing a huge amount of pain-in-the-ass situations for meals out or friends cooking for me, then I probably would be. But not eating mushrooms or spicy foods makes that difficult, and I want to keep the few friends that I have :-)
