FIDGET!

Well, its official now. Jamie and I have a cat. His name is Fidget, and he's absolutely adorable.

He has featured in previous posts under the alias of "CrackWhore", however now we have decided to adopt him properly, he needed a better name. After all, the first thing we need to do is get him checked out by the vets, and there was no way I was going to walk in the vets and say "this is my cat, CrackWhore"!

Jamie and I had a closer look at him, and he really is in a bit of a state. The way he wolfs down food like its the first meal he's had in months, the state of his fur and his skin, he's covered in wounds which don't look to be healing quick enough, probably inflicted by the other cats in the area who's territories he's been sneaking about in. And he's been practically living in our back garden for the last 2 weeks.

He's such a sweetie, he's got used to being in the house now, he even sits on me or Jamie's laps which is awesome.

We're taking him to the vet on Saturday morning to get him checked out. We're going to ask them to check to see if he's microchipped, as if he is we want to have words with the owners for letting him get into the state he's in.

We have a feeling they may have moved away and left him behind, as he's obviously house-trained and used to being a pet cat.
