well due to the broken nature of my shower, i've had to have a bath this morning instead. what a shame...

was nice to just lie back in the water and relax, and not have to think about anything. although i suppose i ought to get the shower sorted out at some point. baths get a bit tedious if you have to have them all the time.

i hate washing my hair in the bath

do you know, i dont think there's anything I could ever do for Beaver that would repay him for buying me that piano.

All traces of my melancholic disposition that settled on me after moving here have gone; i no longer mope around my flat despairing at my lack of life.

I simply lose myself in music. I'm not yet branching out into learning anything new yet, just reaffirming my ability to play the tunes I could play so well before I went to university. My progress is being measured by my ability to play Chopin's Nocturne Op. 72 No. 1 (i measured my ability on the instrument by being able to play this tune before I came to York, so it seemed only natural to do it again now).

This piece of music means a lot to me, and I'm pleased to say I'm starting to get it back. over 50% of it I can now play without the sheet music, and when I have the music in front of me, the only bits i struggle with are the twiddly bits (mum will know what I mean by that) that I struggled with before..

Actually I'm lying, there is one piece I can play now that I couldnt while I was in Wales. "Bright Eyes" from Watership Down. I'm surprised Beav's not got fed up of hearing it yet.

I love my piano. Its great.

Am now reading "Belgarath the Sorceror" by David and Leigh Eddings, as I ran out of Mallorean
