I like it when stuff happens, its good.

I shall start by saying "Yay" because of the snow, which quickly turns to "Grr" because of the snow, and a necessity to walk to work instead of cycling, which is poo.

Hmm so whats happened since I last posted.

Friday evening I drove over to [profile] black_faery's house for her party. I was partly looking forward to it and also partly worried, on account of Caro not going and me not really knowing Ros all that well, and not knowing anyone else who would be there at all, however it was not really a problem in the end, as both [profile] d_floorlandmine and [profile] mr_epermithis2u were both suitably entertaining, as were the three furry monsters. And Ros of course.

There was yummy stew, and nice wine, and very yummy chocolate, and bouncing and somersaulting cats.

I have decided that a white Turkish Angora cat would look better sat next to Mr Fidget than a huge furry Maine Coon, so am now working on getting Jamie to agree to letting me have one in a couple of years. I decided that Jadis looks just like Mr Fidget, only smaller and white, instead of black.

I thought I'd get a nice yin-yang kind of look with my cats, if I had a black one and a white one that looked the same :-)

Although I didnt drink all that much at Ros's, I did stay there till 3am, before driving home (she lives ridiculously close to me, for soneone I've never been to see before!). Got up at some stupid time like 8.30am the next day, as I was woken up my Fidget and Jamie getting up.

It was a Heineken Cup rugby weekend again, last round of the pool stages. My boys in Scarlet had already qualified, but Jamie's Ospreys needed to win with a bonus point, plus have other results go their way in order to qualify as one of the 2 best runners up. Jamie's team were playing on Saturday, mine on Sunday.

Because I'd been out the night before, I'd missed the Friday night match, Agen v Gloucester, which apparently was very good. So while Jamie called out the RAC to get them to fix his car, I sat quietly on the sofa and watched Agen v Gloucester. Then we watched the Wasps v Castre game (although I slept through some of that snuggled up on the sofa with the cat). Then Sale v Ospreys. Then Munster v Leicester, although I slept through most of that game too.

Ospreys won, but other results meant they didnt qualify, which was a shame.

Sunday we got up stupidly early and drove both cars to Wales (including jump starting jamie's car at 8am in front of a load of houses full of sleeping people, with his alarm going off every 2 seconds). We had a pair of two way radios we'd got off his dad, so we used them all the way down to communicate! Was much fun, especially when we kept picking up other signals from other people (my favourite being the very Welsh man by the Newport tunnel, saying "Hoist it up now, thats it, hoist it up").

After spending an hour or so at his parents house (we made very good time), we got back in my car and drove over to LLanelli, for the Scarlets v London Irish game. Now London Irish are based in Reading, and when they hosted the Scarlets in the first round of the cup we went along (if you recall, I was on telly). So it was nice to see them play again, this time in Stradey Park.

We won, but it wasnt pretty. Guaranteed us a home draw, anyway, and we drew Munster, because they lost to Leicester.

Am now desperately trying to convince season ticket holders at Stradey to sell me tickets for the Munster game, because they are in limited supply (because capacity is so low at Stradey, once you take into account the Munster allocation of 25%, and all the season ticket holders getting 2 tickets each, there aren't any tickets left!).

After the game we went back to his parents house for some food and chat, and watched some of the Biarritz v Northampton game (it was rubbish). Jamie's mum has recently had her tonsils out, and has had problems with infections, and bleeding in her throat and things, so she wasnt very well. It was nice to see them though.

We left about 5pm, Jamie's brother was leaving around the same time (he lives in Winchester, which isnt all that far away from us). As Jamie and I had both driven down, we'd agreed to share the drive on the way back, so Jamie started out. His mum kept going on about waiting for Stuart so we could leave at the same time, so we duly did. What I didnt realise was that Stuart would take this to heart, and follow us the whole way home! Stopping when we did etc. Didn't realise at first, we were just driving happily, then Jamie got something in his eye, so we pulled over in the hard shoulder so he could take his contact lens out. While doing this, he got a call from Stuart asking where we were. Once he'd sorted, he started driving again, only to stop at the Cardiff West Services so he could properly clean his eye out. While in the services, he ran into Stuart. Ok, coincidence thought I. He didnt talk to us at all, just hung around while we did our stuff, picked up some caffeine for the drive home etc.

I took over the driving, and when we got back to the car it took me a while to rearrange the seat etc to my liking. I noticed in the mirror that Stuart was just sat in his car, waiting. He pulled away when we did. I thought I'd lost him on the motorway, but he kept appearing, overtaking us, then we'd overtake him again. To throw him off the scent, I let him overtake me as we approached the Severn Crossing, then swiftly slipped onto the M48 to take the old bridge, reasoning either we'd be much quicker, or he would, and he'd get too far ahead.

No such luck, very soon after rejoining the M4, lo and behold, there he was again.

This was starting to get silly. Jamie was getting antsy, because he wanted a cigarette, but couldn't let Stuart see him having one as Stuart would snitch to their parents that Jamie was still smoking (childish I know, but if you'd met Stuart, you'd understand).

It got to the stage where my eyes were starting to get tired, so we pulled into Membrey services so I could take out my contacts. I hadn't seen Stuart's car for a while and was beginning to think we'd lost him, when lo and behold, who should pull up alongside us in the carpark, but Stuart!! He got out, and went into the services. I quickly took out my lenses in the car, put my glasses on and legged it out of the car park.

We didnt see him again, but I'm guessing thats cos he had to turn off the motorway. I was all jumpy the rest of the way half expecting to see him around every corner.

Was very weird, and mildly scary.

Monday I felt rubbish, in spite of huge quantities of sleep, so I took the day off. I had a splitting headache when I woke up, but slowly recovered as the day wore on. I spent the day with Mr Fidget, relaxing, watching films, and I went for a swim which was good, but also very bad.

Yesterday I came back to work.
