I dislike football. its a boring, pointless game.
however, I live in England, in the land of Chavs.
apparently there's some World Cup thing happening. some chap called Rooney's taking on Trinidad&Tobago, or some such similar.
As a result, I am now sat in the office, just me and my [Scottish] supervisor Elaine, as the entire department, plus the entire Contracts department next door, have all left early to go home to watch the football.
Since Elaine's on the other side of the office to me, I am free to wander the net and generally not do any work at all till 5pm.
I wonder if they'll give me the same priveledges during the Rugby World Cup...

Date: 2006-06-15 03:32 pm (UTC)they have made everyone work the time back, they've not got an extra hour for free. which is a good thing, I suppose. although we were a little surprised when they said today would be a dress down day (and not charge us) so we could all wear our England shirts.
I'm wearing a Brazil shirt, just to stir trouble..
