Aren't Boyfriends Great?
(Apologies to anyone who might get upset by the above title)
Dragged Beav into town this morning to buy me clothes. Like the first time ever he has actually agreed to buy me clothes without me having to beg plead etc. I mentioned I'd need new clothes for my new job and that he should buy them and he just said "yes ok, we'll go into town this morning". I was gobsmacked.
He even bought me new shoes! Which is odd, considering his opinion on how many shoes I own. But it was nice, he must have spent nearly £100 on stuff this morning, all I had to do in return was suffer going and having breakfast in a very dusty McDonalds (they're refurbishing, and you could actually see and taste the cloud of sawdust in the restaurant - ick).
In other news, when I got back I discovered to my absolute horror (and secret delight) that Beaver's gothic mirror thing (which I dislike very much) had fallen off the wall! The frame is smashed into about 5 pieces, fortunately for us the glass itself hasnt broken, so I wont get glass in my feet again.
Guess I should go finish making Beav's kit for the weekend now, have to add elastic onto his leather booties so they'll go over his hiking boots.. comfort AND IC footwear in one go. Pretty good going if you ask me. and only £35 :)
Looking forward to the weekend now, should be a good un, weather looks like its going to be nice, well maybe too nice, hope its not as damn sunny as last month, or I'm going to have a tough time starting work on Monday with vague heatstrokey-ness. Lets hope I dont have my annual LRP injury at this event...
