another 44 lengths today. seems like 44 is settling in to be my 'normal' amount. I need to start pushing myself more, aim for 48 as a minimum.

I also need to sort out my mp3 player so I can swim with music again.

Big effort today, need to get back into the habit. Must stop random life happenings getting in the way!

52 lengths this morning. And since I'm off work on Thursday, I'll have longer in the pool than usual when I go in the morning. I've just worked out, i'll have enough time to do 80 lengths!

Another 44 lengths today. Went at lunchtime, rather than in the morning. So no lanes. But less people.

A man called Alex was asking me about my swim - my bright blue swimming hat emblazoned with the words "Aspire Channel Swim" finally sparked some interest!

Another 52 lengths this morning. Am feeling pretty good today! I even found a different bus that goes all the way to the station, so drops me off a lot closer to my office than the number 17. So I don't have to hang around waiting for the 17 if its late (which it often is), I can just jump on the first bus that comes to the stop. Means I'll never be late for work.

So am well ahead of target right now, not quite to the stage where if I missed a session I'd not fall behind, but if I do another 50+ on Thursday morning then I'll be well on my way. If I keep this rate up, I will be done almost three weeks early! Although I do anticipate having to miss a session or two at some point, so its good to have this buffer set up already. I think getting behind on target would be rather demotivating.

Only 36 lengths this morning - pool was only open for an hour for lanes, and it was super busy! I'm still pretty pleased that I got up early on a Sunday morning and went swimming though.

another 44 lengths in the pool this morning. am feeling pretty good, especially now I've just eaten my breakfast!

Pool was hideously busy when I first started swimming, but by ten to 8 it had quietened down considerably, and when I was doing my last few laps there was only one other person in my lane. It's a shame I have to be out of the pool by 8.20, otherwise I'd stay later as the pool totally empties out for the last half an hour of the session!

Am hoping Saturday morning's session will be quieter - I mean who'd want to get up at 7am on a Saturday to go swimming!

off to a good start! did 8 extra lengths tonight. Pool was relatively quiet, which was nice.
